Hi Guys--
I have a Cox TD .09 r/c. never been run. Is this engine a good performer (compared maybe to a norvel .061 r/c?). I'm not sure what plane it'd be the best to use with. What type of fuel?
Thanks

The TD 09 is really a small, light, fairly powerful 15
. It needs to wind up to put out power. I fly them controline with the Cox 7 x 3.5. An APC 7 x 3 would do fine. Run excellent on Sig Champion 10% nitro, 20% oil-50/50 castor/synthetic.

Power compares with the Norvel .074 not the .061. It may have a little more oomph than the .074 but not a lot and is less usable because of the absence of throttle and muffler. Cox likes nitro try 15% or more. I don't have a .15 that won't out power it but nothing smaller that will.
