Default ANY ONE WITH THE Simple Series F4U Corsair or any in the series

I was reading the article on rcu's new online "Magazine" and saw the Corsair for 1/2A power and I am hooked!

Any one have one of these kits? ad what do they use for flying?

I have a .061 Norvel and I realy NEED a plane to put it into!
Will it be underpowered?

the author of that article used a .074 and said it was awesome performer....

I would be using 3 HS-81's, a 555 reciever a4 cell 150maH pack With the .061 NOT the .074.

I realy hope some one would give me some insight into the little planes.........

Any experience with any plane in the simple series would be great! I am lookin for smooth glides, nice quick rolls a little acrobaic nothin to extreeme! like thoes 3ft straffing runs into a barrel roll! then a victory Loop! I am gettin Hooked just typin! LOL

I have been flying the ACE "Simple 400" for a year now, using both the Cox TD051 and now a Russian VA 049 that I retrofitted with a Tarno carb (old 1/2A carb made in the 70's). The simple 400 uses the tapered foam wing. I have a hitec555 receiver and 4 HS80's in there, along with a 250mah pack. I use a deans whip antenna also. The plane is quite fast, but very manouverable and the glide is excellent. I would say the plane is not for the beginner, especially set up with high rate throws. It will snap, loop and roll and do high G pylon turns easily, all right in front of your face! I would guess the rest of the simple series aircraft would fly similarly due to the same general layout and common wings and similar weights. Go try on, they are a riot! AJC
