Default Smallest 4stroke engine.

Well, there is probably one smaller, but while doing a little searching, I found the following engine. Site says it is a .074 four stroke engine. Appears to be a gasser. Really cute. Unfortunately, when you see the asking price, you will see why it won't be powering my next Edgeling or HalfWit

Ok, I was wrong..... while perusing this craftsman's site, I found a 5 cyl radial 4-stroke displacing a total of .061.......[X(]

Het MATCH, When I first started looking at RCU about 1/2 year ago, didn't AJC show a link to an old guy who built nothing but tiny 4 strokes, and they were all smaller than 049? At any rate, thanks for sharing that, I always get a kick out of seeing tiny engines. Come to think of it, the old guy who was show cased awhile back said othat he goes to small engine competitions, and he has won some awards. I saw a 1/12th? scale small block CHEVY last year that had glow plugs, but the scale ignition system made it look just like plug wires leading from a distributor cap. The topper was that it had a scale WEIAND super charger, cog belt, etc. You could look at this thing for an hour, and still not take everything in.[X(]! He had different cams to play with also. This guy goes around to car shows and maybe makes a little money on the side[ I guess] as an attraction.

the .074 is from George Luhrs, the same guy that makes the other tiny 4-strokes. the .074 is a limited production engine while the others are one-offs and would probably cost a few thou a piece.

i don't mean to nit pick but for my $950 i would expect the ignition coil to be included

Luhrs IS the same guy I posted about last fall... he is amazing. And if he sells all his engines, he will be quite wealthy too!

Collectors eat up those engines, believe me I dont think too many will find homes in flying airplanes. Most will probably end up in a glass showcase, or in a box under a bed.

I wish I had that kind of tallent.... I'd pay $995 US for the ability to make my own!

If these engines are powerful enough to justify being put in planes, then it is a shame to just think of them as investments, our time on Earth is so short. [If I had the money], it would be a thrill to have them running in a B17!

here's the plan:
get every body you know to bombard this guy with requests for a "short block" version of the .074 that'll work with a glow plug...maybe without the custom sparkplug, points, flywheel and purty tank the price would be under $100??

Why dont we all chip in some $$ and buy one together, then I will get it first, fly it for a few weeks and send it to CP, he gets it for a few combat matches and then sinds it off to Zag, etc... It can happen guys... come on

How many times does $20 go into $995??

Did you hear about the guy from ENGLAND who recently cashed in all his worldly belongings, came up with about $130,000, and now plans on going to LAS VEGAS to put it all on one number at the ROULETTE WHEEL? If he hits it big, then all we have to do is get him interested in this forum, then there will be .074 4 strokes for everyone and we won't have to share just one. GEEZ, do I always have to be the guy who comes up with the plan?

I posted some pics of Goerges little four strokes alreadynot long ago. They are .061 4 inline and radial. He has a smaller single cylinder too but I don't know the size. Check the other post to see the pics.
