Can I convert the Wattage Corsair into Glow Power?
Hello, I would like to know if I could build the Wattage corsair, using a cox glow engine? I plane to just buy the wing, stab, and fuse kit from hobbypeople for $35.00, and add my own radio equip, and glow engine, flying two chanel rudder and elevator only. Would anyone recomend doing this? IF I could do it, what size engine sould I use? a .010, .020, or .049. Thanks guys.

I can't tell by looking at the plane in the catalog, but the wing looks pretty flimsy. It would fly with a .049 , but I don't think it would last very long.
One of those GWS foam planes may be a better choice.
If you want a Corsair, why not build a Ace Simple seriers Corsair. The kit cost $40. You would have a plane that is 10 times better.
you can find it at www.quantummodels.com

If you stay with the Wattage plane, I think you will be happier with elevator/aileron control instead of rudder/elevator.
Bill.

I just looked at one today at the hobby shop. This is not a good plane to convert to glow power. It could be done, but the thin foam wing looks like it would break on the first loop. A .049 would be too large.
It is a cute little plane, and probably does fine as a slow electric parkflyer.
