Neat looking plane and should be a great flyer. Not fast but I am sure it will be a great Sunday flyer. Is it a Ken Willard design? The vertical stab looks like it came from his pen. More info please.

Thanks for those kind words , yes it is a Ken Willard design from 1961,a 1/2A racer, which accounts for the long slender fuselage and wide cord shortish wings. It flys well ,but , the small rudder is not too effective on the glide.I'd like to build another one with a thicker wing and enlarge the fin and rudder a little. 2 channel rud. & elev. Hitec 555 rec. and HS 80 sevos.Cox 049 reed. Weighs 18 oz. C/L stunt tank stonding on its edge,as per the plans Free tiled plans from Dave Fritzkes excellent small plane site.I also built K.W.'s Roaring 20 from Dave's plans.

I loved those Ken Willard kits by Top Flite, the Top Dawg, and Headmaster. They all have his trademark tail fins.
I wish someone would kit the Top Dawg again, I have the plans and it seems huge for a 1/2 A. I remember it was large enough inside for those big servos of the late 60s.

How about a Zero Seven? Looks quite similar, about 34" wingspan, and if built light an .049 reedy should pull it round okay. Tha plans came out in Model Flyer about 3 yrs ago. I can send you a copy if you want.

Hi Prole, glad you like it,the weight was starting to get a bit "out of control"at 18 oz.,so I didn't fit the pilot or canopy, when its 100 foot up ,you can't see 'em anyway....Johnvb,please feel free to send those plans,I've always got space for one more.Is that your plane in the pic? Looks real pretty.
