Repairing Litespan
To repair a small puncture or tear in Litespan..............
Don't touch it with a sealing iron, even if it is tattered and uneven.
With a small brush, apply a small puddle of dope and then put a piece of clear cello tape over the tear.
The area will look like there is no hope of recovery and you will have to replace the whole panel.
Have faith.
Store the structure so the repaired surface is facing down.
Leave alone and don't even look at it again for about 6 hours.
When the time is up you will be supprised to see an almost invisible repair that has shrunk back into place.
If your real fussy, rub the area with "0000" steel wool and re-dope the blemish to better blend in.
This method will work with tears up to 2 inches like magic.
That will be 10 bucks please.

The only catch is that most folks that use Litespan have no idea what dope is other than something that goes into rollup papers...
Hey, you going to come over for the Mission Smallfly?

RE: Repairing Litespan
Next time I need to do a repair, which is hardly ever.....aahum....I'll try it with white glue and report back.
Mission Small Event? Sounds like a plan, I think there may be a convoy of smallesters from the island headed that way, I'll ask around. If not, I'll start one.
All I've got is electron power, haven't flown glow in about a year. Sold my Cox collection and diesels, got totally addicted to "E" power. Not to worry, I keep the Norvels.
But, it's still.........."fly SMALL, have a BALL"..................Frank
