Servo´s weight and pwer comparative
Has anybody made a comparative analisis in terms of power and weight for micro servos?
I´m about to build an Edgeling and want to know wich servo is the best for it.
Thank´s in advance for any response.
Best wishes

RE: Servo´s weight and power comparative
Jose:
By the time someone finishes a comparison of the various brands it will no longer be valid due to several of the listed ones being out of production and a bunch of new ones that have come on the market.
However, you can do your own comparison right here on RCU. Look at the top center of your screen, click on "Product Guide" and you can have three on screen at a time, then remove any one and compare another. Check the picture.

These links should give you a pretty good list. Most of the linked pages have charts showing dimensions, weight, torque etc.

Also try www.rc-dymond.com.
They have strong gears, cheap replacements, and great holding power.

check out www.hobbypeople.net
for Cirrus micro servos. Those dymond servos look like a direct copy or a rebranding of the same product. (at a higher price for the 5.4)
I Just got my new cirrus servos - some 5.4`s and a 4.4(gram)
boy, they are small!!
They seem well made and very powerful- and extremely fast- they make my J.R 371 seem positively sedate by comparison.
Also the 5.4 draws less current than the 4.4-
all around I am a happy camper

RE: Servo´s weight and pwer comparative
I have numerous Cirrus servos. I like certain models in their line quite well. They are not at all the same product as dymond. I wouldn't even consider them on the same level.

Mike,
My new cirrus servos seem o.k- I am very happy with their size but the gear train fit to the shafts seems a bit sloppy on the 4.4gm model- this seems a critical thing to get right so its a big minus in my eyes for what is otherwise an outstanding product in may ways.
