RE: my edgeling
You are very welcomed. My interest in this profile planes has growed from simple curiosity to all that I´m flying right now.
The Edgeling is my third profile and since my interest in small airplanes the Edgeling is a natural. Rigth now Tower is sending a Electron 6 and HS- 55 servos along with some super lite transparent covering. I been browsing the manual a lot and drooling all over the computer for the marvelous engineering. Hope to keep it light enough to torque roll with power to spare. I´m putting a picture of my FF Taco with an OS Max 25. Hope you liked.

RE: my edgeling
Nice taco! gonna build me one once my mini3d wears out. the electron 6 package is a good one, and a good buy. got 2 electron 6 receivers myself. been doing profiles these last few months, a lot of fun!
by the way, mine is not super light, what with the slimline 8 receiver and the exhaust deflector and a 2 oz. hayes tank. has plenty of power! using 15% nitro, hovers at less than 1/2 throttle with plenty of pullout. great rudder authority, also. tried 14 lb. spider wire pull-pull, had to re-do it with the 50 lb. as it stretched a little. used a nyrod inner alongside aileron glued to fuse for a wire guide to keep cables off aileron. monokote hinged it. any other build questions, just ask!

RE: my edgeling
Thanks men. I´m gonna keep asking. I can´t find the kevlar thread so i´m gonna use steel braided leader fishing line that comes in the Dubro pull-pull kit. Looks flexible enough and hope not to add to much weight.
The starting date for my Edgeling is this monday. Have to prepare my flying weapons for tomorrow.
Sun day fun¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ ¡Â¡Â¡Â¡Â¡Â¡Â¡

Looks good WF! The 074 sure is a work of genius, I would like to try a 8-2 or 9-2 prop for 3D flying, guess it's time to get out the whittlin' knife. I bet THUNDER TIGER 074s are hard to even give away now that the NORVEL 074 has become the king of the hill.

RE: my edgeling
Just for the record, I have seen a friend o mine wear prematurely the connecting rod in a TT 07. The engine itself is beautiful but the connecting rod doesn´t have a brass bearing on the bottom and this leads to wear during the break in. This has happened twice after an spare was buyed. Good fuel with 20% oil was used and never run peaked. To me that´s no good. Does anyone have any advice for this fellow? I pass it to him.

Bolio, just use kevlar fishing line. Thats what I used on my HW. I think it was 30lb test or so. It's way lighter than a steel leader would be..

RE: my edgeling
Bolio ..... Don't go with the braided wire....... get some 50 pound test fishing line like is recomended for the plane. It's super lite and will not cut through the plane like the wire will. I know you can get the fishing line in your market, because there are some really good fishing lakes in your area. And Duck hunting too!!!

Bolio, if you have any trouble finding the line, or don't want to buy a whole roll, PM me your address and I'll send you some 60lb SpiderWire. I have loads of it, I re-spool every year. Yanking 11 lb bass out of thick timber requires strong line [8D]
