Default .10 size aerobat????

I was hoping someone could point me to some places that sell .10 - .15 sized planes. I'm looking for a sport or pattern type plane. I'm not really interested in a 3D ship this small. I would prefer an ARF (I know, hard to find this small), but a kit would work if the price is right.

Thanks

Jason

I have converted a Wattage Giles G-202 to glow power. I used a .074 Norvel which is equal to a .10 size engine.
About all you have to do is cut out a plywood firewall and epoxy it over the one it has and match your engine mount to where the wood motor mount was located.
You may like the Norvel .074 better because you don't have to make a hole in the firewall for your muffler to fit through. The Norvel muffler is so small it fits inside the cowl.

Thanks Lynn.
I've eyeballed that plane a couple times though I'm trying to find the plane without motor. I've got an Enya .15 and mini servos to put in a plane. I'm trying to find a .10 size because I fly at 7000' ASL.

Its hard to find ARFs that small. You may have to build a kit.
Is this an older Enya engine? If its like the one I have it is pretty weak.

the only enya .15 is the old loop scavenged iron engine. just barely decent on the bigger props but still nowhere near the power of a modern .10-.12
7,000' is a long ways up! have you flown the engine at this altitude yet?

I've flown the engine in a .15 size ME 109. It flew it, but the plane was very heavy at 30+ oz.
I've been looking around at the Wattage Cap 232, Extra, and Ultimate. I like what I've seen so far.

at sea level 30 oz. would be nice for a .15. i once had a scamp that weighed over 3 lbs.[:@] and it "flew" with a .10...

i guess if you go super light you should be just fine. and i may be way off but i bet that a sedate sport engine like your enya suffers less power loss at high altitude than a screamer like the norvel .074

Judging by how it flew my warbird, I think it'll be just about right in a 20oz sport plane.

There is a smaller pattern type of aerobat at Hobby People. http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/127505.asp

I do not know anything about it but it is a .15 sized.

For a simple, inexpensive kit see: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_18...tm.htm#1800275

I forgot about the Laser Stick, nice plane.
That Hobby People ARF plane looks nice too... I guess there are more .15 size planes around than I thought.

i have a wattage giles with an s.c.12 up front and it is way overpowered,a 15 would definitely be too much.
