Latest Project HOB Bf109
Hi
I'm new to the forum but I thought I would start with a photo of my latest project. It's a HOB Bf109 powered by a TT07, flown once and had to land prematurely due to glitching caused by a noisy servo, minor repairs but hope to have it in the air again very soon.
Felt obliged to share it with you guys as I picked up a lot of tips on the way from this forum to help with the build.
Keep up the good work!

Brogue, Welcome to the forum!
You did a fantastic job on that 109. You will have to tell us how you got all that detail, weathering, ect. Post more pictures when you can.

Thank you very much for the very positive feedback. A couple of members have asked for more photos so here they are. Again as requested, the model is finished in tissue and dope with Litespan on the wings. The whole model has been air brushed using Humbrol enamels (my first airbrushing experience, so trust me it is not difficult), the decals are home made and the weathering is a mixture of air brush and artist chalk.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Really, really nice painting technique!! What did you use to put the panel lines in with? Did you overcoat with flat butyrate clear or is the topcoat Humbrol?

Thanks for your comments. The panel lines were drawn on with a 2B pencil and weathered with airbrushed acrylic paint thinned 80:20. The whole model was then fuel proofed with matt Tufkote (a two part proofer, not sure whether this is available in the US), I have used it for years and believe me it is brilliant. Have not been able to fly the model recently as the weather has been atrocious here in the UK for what seems like weeks!
