Default dead giles

i killed my wattage giles 202 today!it was converted to i.c. and i loved it,only had about 10 flights but every one had me on my toes,i am hooked on small stuff now,anyone tell me how the wattage cap flies?

What engine do/did you have on it? this is another uninformed question but do you guys have fuel with nitro in it, I mean is it available or just very expensive.........try a search on the cap, I'm sure someone has done something with it........Rog

i had an s.c.12 in it which was a little too much but i had it laying around so it went in,and yes we do have nitro fuel and it is expensive-£8.50 for a half gallon of duraglo 10-about $15!

Yeah that is a lot of motor! thanks for the info..a gallon of 10% is around $15-16 so yours is about twice as much.... my last gallon of %20 was $19.....Rog

Sorry for your loss. I put a Norvel .074 on my Giles and it was a handfull. I guess I had too much throw on the ailerons. I lost it on the third flight when I flew past the sun and lost sight of it for a few seconds.
There is one conversion here for the CAP as far as I know it flew fine.
You can do a search under Wattage Cap to find it. It may have been posted under my thread..Wattage Giles.
I have not flown with my .074 since then except to crash hybrid Giles-Extra.
I have a Lanier Stinger 10 that is about ready to go.
I think this may be a better plane than the Giles.
