I am scratch building the NEW Hostetler 115" Tri-Pacer. I plan on going with a G-38 and sierra front strut. Fabric finish and PPG paints.

Very nice!!!!
I'm working on a Herr 1/2A J3 Cub, almost finished. I'll post pics soon. Since I'm from Chicago & a Cubs fan. I did it in a Chicago Cubs theme. Made my own decals for it. Covered it in Blue & Red. I'm working on hooking up the lights for it now. The hardest thing, for me, to cover was the struts, but they came out fine. Didn't take very long just a bit tedious. Next thing is to cut and install the windows. I also have to paint the cowl, primed it last night. Probably give it one more coat of primer tonight.

RE: Hey, Whats Everybody Working On!!??
I can't share much because i haven't done much, but I am also working on an L-19 bird dog and trying to get people to answer questions about placement of formers. The plan is by Rich Urivitch and the kit is by Hobby Hanger. My problem is- well i have two problems actually- one i'm out of CA - and the other is the laser cut markings on the fuse sides to show where formers go dont match up to the ones on the plans . SO i just stopped building for a while. Any way the real problem is my cheap ZAP Ca dried up. thats terrible. Heres a pic of what it should look like- might go for the orange color scheme though.
HEre is a link-

RE: Hey, Whats Everybody Working On!!??
It's been a while since I posted so I thought I'd drop in. I can't say I'm working on any half-A projects at the moment, but I have several E-powered models in the works. Here is one I completed this summer, how does it fly? Don't ask. But I learned a lot from this project, and I'm excited to try some different things.
Despite my recent delinquency with the dark side, I do plan on entering this years contest. So far I'm thinking imaginary scale .020 motor glider things can change.
Has anyone heard from Prole about the shirts? I know he is really busy, and I mean him no ill will but it would be kind of nice to have a t-shirt from last year. We might try contacting him through his band, it's called Des Ark and I know they have a web page if you google it. If Prole is too busy to mess with getting t-shirts screened and sent off I would be willing to take on the project. Provided I could get the funds and screens from him, and no one is opposed to the idea.

240 cubic inch, 190 HP, 270,000 original miles. Oh, you mean airplane wise? I'm going to try my hand at a speed plane for a K&B 6.5 RIRE, and maybe a trip to GERMANY with it next year, mainly to witness the RC SPEED COMPETITION.

Hi MATT, It's a .40, I mean 4.0 . If it was a COX, just think how many times you would have to drop the oil pan to do rod resets?
Hi BIPE, when yours' gets up to about 270,000, start looking for signs of melted piston and ring material in the exhaust, could be signs of trouble.

It's a 1993 JEEP CHEROKEE. I bought it many years ago because it was the only 6 cylinder SUV that I test drove that day that could snap my head back. The engine is pretty impressive [now that I've seen the inside of it]. Huge valves, helical valve springs, straight , large runners and ports, short stroke, even a tubular header. An engine like this would really respond to a performance cam. 190 HP from 240 CI.

This is my version of a combat flite streak. It has a 35" wing and I will probably power it with a Norvel .074. It's going to be setup for 3 channel operation.

It's good to hear from you Derek. I've been playing with small electrics recently too. What power plant is in that little cutie.

RE: Hey, Whats Everybody Working On!!??
Bipe,
The Powerhouse has a GWS LPS B2C-C motor/gearbox, which turned out to be a little underpowered. However I have been doing some chatting over at the "other" forum recently and been advised to try the LPS RLC motor, which is the 4.8v motor version for the LPS seriese. Running the 4.8V motor at 7.2V with a 6x5 prop should give me the power I need. Unfortunately all the test flying I did with the underpowered motor resulted in a really bashed up airframe. So right now the covering is off the fuselage and I'm building new tail surfaces and reconstructing the fuse. Take a stroll over to the Vintage forum at RCgroups and you can see the build thread.
