Using Coverlite
Japanman:
I "discovered" Coverlite when I re-entered the hobby about a year and a half ago. Here is a link to my first project.

It took a bit of effort to learn how to apply this stuff satisfactorily, but I really like it. It is fuel proof (I use 35% nitro in this plane, no problem). It does not sag in hot weather. It has the look of a good doped silkspan finish with the glossy side out. I use Sig Stix-it and stretch out all of the wrinkles before applying heat. With only 4% shrink, you will not be able to shrink out wrinkles on small parts. Hoppy people and Tower both have it. Good Luck.

RE: Using Coverlite
Hi,
Thanks for the info- that looks very similar to litespan- like a rebranding of the same stuff. I covered my peewee planes with litespan and found it to be excellent- much as you have found.

RE: Using Coverlite
I just used coverlite too for the first time.I was woundering what you use for gluing down the edges over covelite since it wont stick on its own.I used some Balsa right but it was a bit messy do you know of some thing thinner? I also wish they gave you a little more coverlite in a package ,I could'nt cover a small kit with one pack so now I have to wait for more. The stuff is great to work with once you get the feel of how to do it.
