Default NW Expo in Puyallup Feb 4-6th?

Anyone going to the NW Expo (swap shop and show) in Puyallup WA?

I will probably be up there Friday and Saturday. Would be fun to catch up with anyone from the 1/2A RCU group.

I may be going with Ronnie McB on Saturday. (Bruce will probably know who this is, he's an animal who does FAI and carbon fiber and hates 1/2A's). But this is tenative since we still remember the ice in '96 and both of us are basicly broke. I hate it when that happens. TBC...

Andrew (Bipe Flyer) is going to try and make it too if time / schedule permits.

We should meet for lunch... I figure there will be (1) concession stand?

Last year there was 2, in on the ground floor in the vendors area and a scone trailer out between the two buildings. Don't forget, there is a fairly nice restaurant across one street and a hamburger place across another. The one in the vendors area tends to be very expensive, so if that's your only option BRING LOTS OF FOOD MONEY

How about meeting for lunch Saturday at 12 Noon at the Burger place?

Anyone know the name?

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sidenote: I noticed today that you can get a discount online (http://www.nwhobbyexpo.com/) if you purchase a 1 day, 2 day, or 3 day pass ahead of time.

Went up to Puyallup Saturday. I didn't see much I couldn't live with out. Well there was this one thing. I found an ACE Dicks Dream in the box, I had to pay $8.00 for it. Sorry I could help myself.

I went to the expo today.

Was kind disappointed that the there was very little going on at the swap meet...Super Bowl I guess.

Did pick up some 4cell 2/3AA NiMH receiver packs that will fit nicely in my 1/2a projects.

I missed it this year. None of my regular crew could go for different reasons. Was it as "new and improved" as I heard it would be?

I went today, I enjoyed myself though I would say that there was even less to see than last year. Fewer displays and vendors; or so it seemed to me.

For those of you who couldn't make it: There was a guy there with a fantastic vintage collection of engines and planes. Lots and lots of CL models and desiels. He was there last year but I'm not sure his display was quite as big. He had dozens of miniscule CO2 motors that caught my eye. It blew me away, I'd never seen such small motors and engines in person. Check out the photo of the flea, and notice how small the cylinders are-they're all that small!

I went on Friday, primarily at the swap shop. It was fairly busy with guys bringing in stuff all day long. I picked up 3 Flyline kits: Luton Minor, Fairchild 22, and the Inland Sport. Also bought a TD .049 and misc parts.

I then visited the vendor area for a quick walk through.

I also enjoyed visiting the gentleman's table noted above - lots of great stuff to see. Excellent show of antique engines and planes.
