Default 1/2 A STARTER "HOME MADE"

Does anyone remember seeing a article about a home made starter for a cox motor. They used a 05 e-motor and I want to build one. Thanks, mike.

i built one of those...i used a 2 inch piece of PVC...used a motor from a power wheel vehicle...also for a starter cone i used a 1/2 inch piece of PVC with a wood insert and a piece of hose from the auto parts store...oh i forgot about the switch from radio shack...i plug it into my power panel and it works great...i made some end caps from 1/4in plywood...never got around to painting it tho...

Here's my .010/.020 starter. Radio Shack motor and button, film canister and a piece of silicone exhaust tubing for the starter cone. It spins quite fast with just enough torque to turn over an .020.

Naw Clint it's not a foot. It does look like one though. It's a sig heilcopter adapter. Two bucks at the LHS.
