Looks NEAT!
What servos, Rx, & batt are you using? Are the four servos = 2 for aileron, 1 ea. for ruder and elevator? Which servo(s) use the pull-pull eyelets?
More Picures

!
I've got a TD .010 around here somewhere!

Cool Match, looks sort of Half-wit-ish, cool though..,I really liked the mudbug from last year but cant find your home page anymore..JohnC thats probably full four channel A,R,E,T ,,didnt check but may only need one aileron,he's a very compact builder..but since it looks like a profile 3-D plane..I'd go with one servo-2 ailerons....Rog

Matchless,
I've been observing breath taking rate of your progress made in just one afternoon.
This comes on the heels of Pigg building about a squadron's worth of planes in the last month.
I think that if you two were to be captured and cloned, then the rest of us could simply stay at the flying field and play with the latest dozen creations you and the clones could send to each of us every week or two.

Yeah you guys should get together and build a plane that goes 200 mph and then stops and hovers!!! that'd be cool and on a product engine no less, ok I guess you could use a throttle sleeve if ya HAVE to....the CombatMatchlessPigg no wait the CombatPigglessMatch..

Nice to see you back here Matchless,
Nice looking plane- is that an 020 or a 010??
Those servos look a lot like my cirrus 4.4g ones which are transparent blue... what are they? I need to get some new baby servos and I`d apperciate a heads up on any good deals.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone : )
I finished the little bird yesterday evening at about 10:00. I really spent a lot of time doing other things this weekend, so while I finished it in one weekend, I probably could have done it in a day if I had really focused…
The little bird came in a 4ozs on the nose. With 130 or so squares, it should be light and peppy on the wing. Part of keeping the weight down was helped by using the new BlueBird 3.3 gram servos. I’m not terribly sure about them yet. On another project, they stuttered and jiggled like crazy. The little Yak has pretty stiff hingelines though, so while setting up the radio, they were generally quiet.
The throws are set pretty conservatively on LR, and wild on High. For example, the Ailerons have 1” of travel (about 40 degrees) on high rates, and half of that on low…
I hope I will get to do a maiden flight today after work. Supposed to rain by one forecast, and be clear and breezy on the other forecast… Neither is what I really want. I’ll try to get some video too.
I’ve read through all of the contest entries, and I was really excited to see all the great designs that are finished or almost finished. Like the years past, there is a great amount of creativity in the group of people that enter/participate in this contest! So many beautifully constructed, wonderfully executed designs!

Can't wait to see it at Small Steps!

So far I'm not too impressed with them either. I only have a couple of flights on mine in an indoor slowflyer but it seemed they didn't return to the same center each time, neccessitating constant stick twiddling. I burned out the brushes on the motor so it's waiting in line on the to-do list so I hope others with experience with these tiny servos will jump in with their evaluation of them.
FWIW, the slightly larger 4.3 Bluebirds have worked fine in a couple of outdoor 'parkflyer' type models. Tom

All sounds cool Matchless!
I am looking forward to hearing how it flys.
Bummer about the ??? with the servos- from what Tom says it sounds like the pot in them may be a bit dodgy- I have read that this is the single biggest bugbear in making micro servos. I wonder if the pot brushes may wear in and the centring get better?
