Hey guys I hate to be a "stick in the mud" as it were , but we are having bad flying weather here and the 50% rain and serious wind are in the forcast well past the 30th deadline, in fact the carolina crew may remember it was a windy time at the may meet last year(one of BobHH's planes thermaled for like 15 minutes! and my trainer ended up in the trees), my plane is done except for the hatch and cockpit,,but I'm not sure I will be able to fly it before the deadline, I know we've done extensions in the past, and this is the first time I'm ready but the weathers not,,,in NC it will be windy from the foothills to the coast for the next month....... you can check at the weather channel at zip code 27215...Rog

Rog, You're not kidding about the crappy weather here in the Carolinas[:'(] The last two weekends here have been a no-go for the contest plane's test flight. Just this last weekend it SNOWED here in the mountains besides the 30 mph winds! I'm hoping I'll be able to get her in the air by the 30th but can't say for sure.[

Time for a hydroplane conversion here too methinks...
ah well, makes a change from "the dog ate my homework", suppose I could go for "the damp air has warped my tailplane"
the next five days is looking excitingly soggy
