Default Aileron throw

Hi everybody

i am at the very final steps of finishing my herr mustang. I will post pictures soon.

So today i was setting up the control linkages and throws. This actually is the first plane that i am setting the throws according to the plans. Before this i was just doing them by myself and i realized " Damn!!! I have been setting waaayy too much travels for my planes before. No wonder why i control them by milimeters of stick movements."

However for this plane the plan shows only 1/8 up 1/8 down aileron throws. Isn't it too little?? i can barely see them move.

Default RE: Aileron throw

We have found with the sheet racers that not having enough roll control for low speed flight and to counteract wind conditions is as bad as having too much. I think 1/8" up and 1/8" down should give you enough to be smooth. The servos will last much longer than if you set the plane up with more throw than you can use also. You can always crank up the throws a little to suit your taste buds after you see how the factory approved settings work.
