RE: COX rumors??
I want to know more about the CS engines. I have read some good some not so good( isin't that almost true about anyone) but is there a thread where I can find out more? How about a few suppliers here in the USA? I saw somewhere an emaill address of someone who distributes but I was hoping for a website that showcased with pics and prices. Not in the market for one just yet but I want to school myself some.

RE: COX rumors??
Thanks Andy, unfortunatly I need to apply the monniker to my body more and more. Seems I can keep the weight off a structure but not off me!
Thanks for the links, but where does one find the smaller CS motors?

RE: COX rumors??
Hi Robert,
See the second last post on the first page of this thread for info on where to get the small CS .049.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_41..._1/key_/tm.htm
No fancy website but the other threads should give you an idea as to what you're getting. Best go for the .06 for more power at the same weight.

I too wanted to see more, so I just bought a couple from William Hughes! Neither of mine have any voids in the piston..
If it's got voids, then it's lighter, right?
I mean every manufacture has there problems, and the only way CS will get better is with time and feedback..
for example even BMW:

RE: COX rumors??
The AP .061 will turn a 6x3 prop at 15,000 rpm. At this level of performance, the power is adequate for up to a 17 oz sport flyer, but not too impressive, forget about spectacular. My best attempts with the CS .061 fell 2500 rpm short of what the AP turns out, so I don't think the CS is worth buying until the price drops down to about what the COX SureStart is at. I wonder how many of the 1/2A C/L Stunt flyers are doing their routines with the CS engines in competition now? Those planes are obviously much lighter than what most of us 1/2A RCers fly. These are beautiful planes, many hours to build, flown with stunts that have 4 foot high pull outs over asphalt. The power has always got to be there. The CS is consistent with very steady runs....the massively heavy piston might have something to do with that. This engine might be better suited for the slow but steady flight pattern that the C/L Stunt guys have a hankering for?.

At $8 each.they were just having an estate sale, just as if someone had died with a bunch of junk in the attic. In the realm of RC UNIVERSE, and the money that gets spent on this hobby, we 1/2Aers just represent a slide of bacteria from a petry dish of amoebic dysentary and COX knows this.

Just a thought/guess, maybe they only pieced up enough to cover present orders and don't have left overs for sell? Just cover present demand before tossing the last of the scraps into the bin?
