2 OZ 1000 ma $7 reciever batteries!!!
How does this look:

[link=http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102737&cp=&origkw=aaa+battery+holder&kw=aaa+battery+holder&parentPage=search]battery holder[/link]
At .03 lbs per battery that comes out to 1.92 OZ + whatever that litlle plastic holder weighs. Doesn't sound bad for 1000 miliamps. That should last for hours of flying! Only $7 too.

That's perfect for most 1/2a airplanes. Unless you need smaller and lighter, a battery in the 2oz range is fine. You can save some weight and solder them together.
