Finally, posted some new stuff
Hey all,
I finally got around to posting some new stuff today, the Pizazz, the Papillon, the Twirl, and a bunch of stuff I ran across in some old magazines. The usual mixed bag of planes! The Jr. Skylark, Jr. Falcon, Mach None, Pacer, SuperPacer and GLH are still up there, along with the Littlest Stick. One of the new links is to Keith Laumers' "Buttons" if you are a fan of his stuff like I am. (He designed the original "Twin Lizzie" many years ago.) Also a nice Walt Mooney plan for an .020 freeflight version of the Fournier RF-4.

WELL IT'S ABOUT TIME! ! ! !
Some of us have been meaning to talk to you about your lackidasical ways of late.......
Again a big thankyou for making so many of yesteryears gems available. It's always a pleasure to drop in there.

Yeah, thank you so much for the offerings, Dave. I have already built two planes from the plans on your page, and I'm gearing up to build the next one. It's great that you are preserving these classic designs. You know, Ace had a few other nice diminutive models, like the 4-20 and All Star Bipe, for example.

Thanks Dave!! The time and effort invested by you and Gene to keep these vintage plans available is always much appreciated.
Following several simple 1/2A C/L planes and a Nordic glider, the Miss America was my first scratch build of any consequence. I think I still have the original plans around with multiple pin holes and orange spots where the Ambroid seeped thru the wax paper.

And I bet those Thunder Tiger/Ace foam cores will work with the All Star.
The Miss America has been re-done a few times. I see that the one you have posted was re-engineered by Joe Wagner. There was a member of my old club in Asheville named Emil Agosta (Dry Ridge Models) who had his re-working of it published in one of the magazines. Dave Robelen did a smaller one, too, for MAN. I've seen others I can't remember. It never was one of my favorite old timers, but it has endured.

Dave, thank you!
The "Gramps" was the model I built for my ninth grade science fair project. My science teacher didn't believe that I had made it and didn't allow me to formally enter it. It had a Torpedo .19 up front and a Lorenz radio from AHC or Polks (I don't remember which). I had painted flames on the nose. I had good taste even back then .

Thanks Dave. It is hard to find some of those plans. I know all of us 1/2Aers(?) appreciate your effort and good work.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]

'bout 6 hours of editing time so far:
I am going to show built up wings, and templates
to cut your own foam cores too. It's tough to get those Ace
wings nowadays. Picture is of my 2nd All Star.
I still have the wings and tail from it.....

Oh, great! More free plans for planes I want to build! If only retirement would come in less than 20 years so I could start making an Everest of balsa dust in my garage.
Thanks for your wonderful site.
BTW, Keith Laumer's planes are lots of fun and his book is pretty good as well. Certainly worth space on your shelf if you can find a copy.
