RE: engines for sale
Jason, I gather you're stuck for cash? $20 doesn't buy much these days. Also you're in the 1/2A forum so I'm guessing you're looking for a smaller one or did you post here by accident. Have you checked the RCU Marketplace?

R/C or airplane engine? You can pick up Cox engines on ebay for around that sometimes or just go to www.coxmodels.com and order a couple of Surestarts. But they aren't considered R/C because of the lack of a throttle.

Hi Jason... Do you have any Radio Gear....Transmitter, Receiver,Servos, Battery, Charger. Have you run that engine that the 'Someone' gave you? What was "is' the plane that's still in the tree?
There are a bunch of people here that have forgotten more than most will ever know about SMALL airplanes.

RE: engines for sale
well, the plane that's still in the tree is one of those cheepo airhogs planes, and no I don't have radio.
I was hoping to make something free flight or control line, as I am just starting in this hobby. the cox engine that some dude gave won't start now. I had it fired up once, it ran through a full 1 once tank of fuel and now it just won't start.

That sounds bad. What were you using for fuel? Can you take the glow head off and see if it's glowing when you hook up the battery? And just to check what were you using for a battery?
If you had it running once it should have lit right back up.
No radio eh? Well, control line is a great way to start out for cheap.
Let me check to see what's out in the shop tomorrow. I may be able to send you an old Futaba two channel rig complete with two servos.

RE: engines for sale
for fuel i was using sig champion fuel 25% nitro
I cleaned it out, the glow plug glows
I have new batteries in my cox starting kit
but it refuses to fire.
I would like an engine with more power anyway.
