Default Schulter Flugel... They are getting Bigger.

I have an .010 TD size and an .020 size one so I thought with all these Cox's laying around I had better make one 049 size.

Picture added for perspective.

OOOH I like-a-dat!

The .010 appeals to me but I bet TangerineJack would go for the "humongous" one.

Is there anything more beautiful than a model building workshop? Harmonious clutter.

Steve, I really like your signature tail design. That is a great looking trinity.

ok, I can see the .010 -> .020 -> .049
and the logical progression -> .061 -> .074

but if you stop in the middle for a .051 size one, 3mm more span.....[&:]

I think the .049 will take care of the .061 and .74. The logical progresion is the -> 3 Cylinder Radial (.15) that Dr. Ralph made me.

Looks like you're keeping busy! Maybe it's the perspective, but the .049 size doesn't look much bigger than the .020 size. Strange how scaling works. Looks fantastic! The radial version would be outstanding!

Update.... All the hardware is installed and it all wiggles.
Prelim balance shows nose could have been a little shorter for this one. I am going to fair in the nose /wing and put a little wind shield on.
Wish I could find a little guy with a pointy helmet.

Looks like a CS049 or 061R/C to me , maybe a Brodak , I understand they had a R/C version at one time.

I'll bet these three planes Swag has built are just engeneering mock up's for the full scale he's "a workin on" in his garage!

Darran.... Don't be putting those kind of ideas in my Pee Brain. [sm=thumbup.gif] Dawn patrol over the Boardwalk, Santa Cruz
Not possible. It will take the rest of my life to clean up the mess in my shop just enough to make the rudder. ( see other Post)

Covered at last. Had a chance to work on this one the last week.
Doculam with Krylon sprayed on the glue side. Trimed with Konee Kote. Flying next week I hope.

Beautiful, Skaliwag. Careful of those .049s, they can draw blood . Very artistic plane.

Thank you CP.... Got my ticket to the "Bash" on Feb 11 today.
I know about the Blood. That's why I have ordered a new Hornet Starter just for this one,,, and the next one that I am working on.
I think that one will have a K/B on the front. Might put one of my Medalion P/Cylindr/ T/rings on it, and one of Tim's Turbo heads
Can't tell what it is just yet as I am busy this w/end and won't get any more done. Then I'm going to the Electric meet in Pheonix next week but there is a build thread coming.

Got it all wrapped up and wiggling today. I put the B/less on the front for the meet this week end in Pheonix but it can still be rigged for wet power. I had my Machinist friend make a mount for the spark maker that has the same bolt pattern as the Dave Brown 0506 mount that the Norvel uses.

She's a total jewel, man. Looks like you could do some hovering with that set up!

I don't think it will hover... It's built for the Norvel, a little more substansial than is needed for a 'leckie. Weighs in at 18oz, ready to fly with the 1550 battery in there.

Very nice! I love the wire gear. It just looks right sitting on those antique wheels with that gear.
