This was designed for a .15, but could easily be scaled for 1/2A. 34.375" span. PM if interested.

Hi Dave,

That's a cool little plane, I've always liked the looks of many QM racers. It has that "Shoestring " look to it with the cowel cheeks. Interesting wing design and aileron/rudder set up. This would make a nice sport flier in a regular old 3-4 channel configuration. To bad HOB doesn't make the QM wing kit any more, it would make for a quick building .15.

A removable wing with the aileron servo mounted to the fuselage? Auto rudder with aileron movement? C'mon now!!

Like you always say " the plan is only a guide" final desisions are left to the builder

Back then it was popular for magazines to publish plans that had "innovations" or novel ideas. Remember, it was a time when r/c pilots were modelers. You find all kinds of original, one-off ideas incorporated into those older plans. Experimentation was alive and well.

You're right, it was more of an adventure back then, success was harder to obtain. The old magazines reveal what was not just a pass time back then, but a real sport.
