Previously it was discussed that each pilot that flew Grace would/could add something to her. What exactly did you have in mind for this that would not add weight. Possibly signing the shipping container with name and location?

Come to think of it, how is it going to be determined where it goes to next? May I offer my services whereby for moderate and variable fees (depending on how much a person is willing to spend) I could establish a prioritized list? No, no, it isn't necessary to thank me with grandiose words of praise and appreciation. It just another example of my selfless commitment to the Crew. (And filthy lucre is always an appreciated incentive.)

Actually Raymond, I made a list according to who expressed interest on this thread and then placed them in a basic order heading West. I am thinking now that it should just be in order of those who posted an interest. I will have it done in time for the CC fly.
I would love to see people put their (club?) emblem on Grace. Weight is an issue but only from a balance perspective. It should carry the weight as long as each one is small.

Well Mike, I guess your idea will work too - and once again a money making scheme - I mean another act of charity - of mine is thwarted at birth. Oh well, I'll come up with something worthy someday.
In the meantime, maybe we could post a photo of each pilot holding her Grace-ness before ("after" maybe if we're lucky) each flight. Thus providing for good and all proof that we are just normal humans and not the heroic figures that I'm sure most non-Crewsmen picture us as.
(Does each pilot provide his own receiver, charged batteries? Should participants at Rog's bring such "stuff"?)

Batteries ARE included. Just add your own RX. I thought about including a RX but that introduces channel and shift probs.

Well, I keep expecting dF to let you guys know that I'm adding a page to my site for GRACE. Mostly to keep track of it during it's travels. There have been a few stumbling blocks getting something appropriate, but I WILL have it ready soon. Unless something changes, dF will be merging his site with mine. (believe me, I am really happy about this!)

Heeeeyyyyy..... where do we "officially" sign up? Earlier in this thread I posted my interest to fly GRACE in Harwood, MD but I'm not on the roster! The offer stands, 1/2A fliers in my area (Baltimore/Washington corridor) can fly GRACE with my gear, at my private field - that'll be my contribution to the project. No sense ripping gear out only to send it a couple of miles up the road!
But......... how do we police who's capable or genuine about flying GRACE?

PBJ, who has it and when will be public information. That's the only real way I know to police it. dF may have some ideas, but he's pretty busy since he joined the work-a-day world. Any ideas are welcome, subject only to my ability to implement them!

If you would like a northern California stop added to the list, count me in! I have read the thread and seen the website also. A buddy of mine was one of the pilots for a similar project using a Slow Stick. I am the only one at my club who actively runs and flys 1/2A. (I am also one of only two who run diesels!)

Yep, I've had little time to give right now. Sorry about not giving some big announcement PT but I figure that would only put pressure on you.
Today is the day for the CC Reedie Race and the day when Grace gets some real airtime! Hope it goes well!

Hey guys! She had a rough start with the typical wind at the race but some CA and patience we got her back in the air!
The entire race field got to fly GRACE on one tank! Thanks to BobHH helping with the needle and loose head.
Nobody took charge of her after they got done so I have it again and will get her all cleaned up for shippment to the next stop.
By the site it looks like Hollis is next.
Word...you may need to limit the throws since the plane is a bit sensitive to input, not tail heavy but needs a bit of sky with a level wing before you get too wild on the stick. I am sure others will comment soon[8D].

Glad she got up in the air. Sounds like it was hard to control? Hmm.. Tell me more on that.
On mine, I've got it set up with the throws 1/4" each way on the elevator and 3/8" rudder, and -20% expo. It is very gentle that way.
Be sure it balances ahead of the break in the wing. On post 102 it looks like it may be just a little too far back. Did it feel like a CG thing?
