Well all, I got everything installed. And she flew. She didn't fly very well, I believe I have something screwed up with trim, or it has to do with the fact that when I rebuilt the wings I left off the ends. Not sure, but I do have a couple questions for you all. How hot is everything supposed get. I don't believe my engine got hot at all, and my battery was good, but my ESC got warm.
These are the stats on my Watt Meter I purchased at full throttle.
8.18 volts
11.5 amps
85.7 Watts.
Does that sound like alot?
I packed everything with foam to stop it from bouncing around, do I need to velcro everything in instead? Do I need to drill some holes in the firewall to let some air in?
dieFluggeister - Would you be so kind as to post a couple pictures of how your electronics are installed? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all in advance.
Will hopefully have some pictures up this next week.

The only thing you should pack in foam is your Rx (for protection) but make sure there is plenty of space to let air flow through the plane. The DNU is nice because it has a natural tunnel through it and out the tail. I have not yet drilled holes in the firewall for cooling the batt and ESC but instead keep the hatch partially open. It seems to provide enough cooling for now. Your components should not get hot but mildly warm is ok. If you feel they are too hot, then step down a prop size and re-try. For a 2 cell battery, a 9x5 should be fine. 8x4 for a 3 cell.

Evening all!! With the help of ptulmer, dieFluggeister and GlacierGirl I believe I have the DNU ready to roll. I wish I would have got it done before it got dark out cause I would have taken it outside this eveing.
ptulmer: I got it to balance right in the sweet spot right before the second spar. I think that will make a huge difference.
dieFluggeister: I got it all put together, took some pictures and it came in just a shade under 14oz. Should be a good flyer. I'm so excited.....like a kid in a candy store.
Here are the pictures I took. I decided to cut some slits in the top of my hatch, I think it will really help let the ESC and Battery Breath.
I'm planning on taking it to work tomorrow and flying it at lunch. I'll let you all know how it works out.
Here are a few pictures for everyone!

Wow! That actually worked out great! I need to write you guys up on my site. Been busy with other stuff, not even doing the things I should be doing. There's enough info and pictures here. If I get all 200+ telephones placed in time tomorrow, I'll fix something up from all this and put it up.

He all. I went and flew during lunch, other than it being a little too breezy to actually get the plane completely dialed in it flew leaps and bounds better than it did Sunday when I flew it.
Thanks again to PTUlmer for helping me balance the plane.
I'm hoping to get some video of it later this week or this weekend.
Anyone have any suggestions for different prop sizes to use?

Hey all, another quick question. If the engine was mounted with up thrust, would that cause the plane to constantly want to climb?
If I put a few washers behind the engine to give it some down thrust, would that help?
