SERVO CLEARANCE
At servocity.com
Hs-55's for $8, 56's for $18 and much much more.
They have almost every Hitec servo on sale, along with batteries and lots of other things.
Get it while they are in stock!

RE: SERVO CLEARANCE
You have tried their $3 batteries? Servo City usually sells good stuff. I was considering getting some, but you have to call to order them and their phone order doesn't open back up until Monday.

RE: SERVO CLEARANCE
I have a couple of the Hitec 4.8v rx packs they were selling for $2 a while back. According to my Triton2 they are taking a few hundred more ma than they are rated for. Most of my batteries will only take between 90% and 95% of their rated capacity when cycled. A 95% charge is considered pretty good for the average NiCad. And I only discharge to 1.1v per cell when I cycle.

Thanks, Sneasle. $10 HS-81's are always a good deal.

Questions, where did you see the HS-81's for $10?? I only see them for $13.50.

Yes, it looks like they are gone now. They had them with Futaba J connectors and they were $10. I ordered some but we will see if I get them or not. If I recall correctly the J connector is the same as any other except it has a spline to keep the polarity right. I hope I'm right on that........

RE: SERVO CLEARANCE
There really isn't much in the way of sevo's in that size range for cheap prices.... Full sized servos are cheap and so are HS55s but a little bigger and they get expensive.....

RE: SERVO CLEARANCE
I've been wanting to try the new Futaba S3114's. They're faster than the Hitec 65's, about the same torque, have a ball bearing and are quit a bit cheaper:

I'm going to buy those s3114's insted of HS55's from now on out. Tower has them for the same price but they have discounts that apply so I will just buy them from tower....

Go for it. I have 2 of them in a quick trick. they seem very nice.. but beware the servo leads are very short.

I believe the 3110's were the short lead servo -- I have about 4 of those. The 3114's were the replacement and have a standard 12" lead.

Beware of the Futaba control arms. The break just by looking at them! Not good for glow at all. Thankfully, I've got some replacement arms made by dubro (I think).
