Default Servo problem

Hi Guys, I changed the connectors on my old Cox servos for a Futaba receiver and while one works great, one does not. The one in question is a Cox/Sanwa 80412. It seems to make a lot more noise than the other and sometimes "lags" while going one direction. Does anyone have any advice on this or know what to look for before I go tearing this thing apart? Is it possible that it may just need some lubing from sitting around inactive for so long? Thanks! Prop

That sounds normal for Sanwa servos!

Seriously, I'm using two 80111's and they are very slow and noisy. I keep meaning to replace them, but I can never get a round to it.

Well, I took the top cover off and after inspecting the gears for damage, noting nothing was wrong except they were a little dry, I took some of the white grease that was inside the cover and spread it around the gears with a toothpick. After reassembly, it still had the same problems. I took the bottom cover off and removed the motor. it was squealing when I let it run wide open. A drop of light oil on the shaft fixed that and also the lagging and noise problem! It now works nice and smooth, although like Dave said, a little slow.
