Default Tiny Tot Bipe

In view of some recent threads relating to small bipes and Walt Musciano's control line models , thought I'd show you the Tiny Tot C/L that I built from Model Aircraft 1961. Free plan on Tony Elmore's U.K. site.
Norvel .061, uniflow tank, Cox 6X4 prop and 35' lines.
Test flight tomorrow.
Anyone else built one?..........John

Hi Steve, O.K. I'll take a set of 50's with me and wind 'em in if need be.
You'll be pleased to hear Hunter Dark is being brewed again, had a couple for you at Hexham on my way to Nelson Bay recently.

Guess I could use a spoon. My son reckons it looks like sump oil, I certainly enjoy one or two before dinner.

"Hunter Dark".... That's the one... YUM YUM.. Can't think of the town I used to stay in.. Was about 5 miles from the Newcastle bridge on the Sydney side. The Hotel was an old traditional colonial style real deal. The sort you might expect to bump into Ned Kelly coming around the corner.

Back to airplanes I like 42 ft lines myself.

LR... I certainly hope so, wasn't enough space for a .15!
I don't have scales, guesstimate 'bout 8 - 10 0z. perhaps.
Steve... things have changed up there, expressway all the way to Hexham bridge, takes about an hour from Hornsby, even with the " spoil sport " 110 kph speed limit. I've emailed you a kit enquiry.
I've got the old Aeroflyte C/L handles, the round ones that let you roll the lines in or out to suit the model, I'll try your suggested lengths.

So how did she fly?
Hope it was a successful maiden flight!

Well, it was about what I expected, although a little tail heavy and having too much elevator throw, managed to survive day one.
I'll add some weight to the nose and move the pushrod in a hole on the bellcrank.
With 25% nitro and a Cox 6X3 and big control throws it was twitchy, but not as fast as I'd hoped for. I did use the 35' lines.
Non aerobatic at this stage, just mushed when coaxed into a loop.
Fun project anyway, and it can only get better.
Makes a change from Noblers etc.
