Cox 049 engine
Some time back, I acquired an old Cox 049 engine which has a yellow anodized crank case and a finned, blue anodized tank. Can anyone identify this engine? History, collectible? etc?
Thanks,
Terry

Terry, hang onto that one. Its an RR-1, a rear rotary induction engine cox made in the 50's. It is highly collectible now and they sell in good shape for anywhere from $150 to $300 US!! I have owned quite a few and they are neat. There was two runs of them, the first ones had a silver case and blue finned tank, and the second run had the gold anodised case with the blue tank. Also, the cases and tanks are the ONLY finned ones Cox ever used. They are easy to identify!
