RE: .15 pitts muffler
I picked up a Bisson Muffler two days ago from a local hobby store http://www.hobbyhobby.com/ the cost was $29 I'm using it on my OS 15 in my L-19 Bird dog.

Here's an alternative that might do the job:

But I'm puzzled by the comment above -- I've never heard that pitts mufflers reduce power, and I don't see any reason why they should.

RE: .15 pitts muffler
I hope it's not a huge loss of power[] my L-19 called for a 15-20, i went for the OS 15LA and will use the pitt muffler to save cutting up my cowl. I'll post my thoughts after the maiden flight.
Thanks, rywil

run it on a test stand. just use a small piece of wood and cut it out with jig saw. this will also help with break in if any is required on your motoe. after broken in get a reading with the stock muffler with baffle removed then run it with the pitts muffler and lets us know the results. i bet you lose about 500-1000 rpm with the pitts.

Geezzz ... where did I see that photo from Joe Wagner, where he made a muffler out of WOOD and attached it to an engine, and it worked? Oil soaked, but it was working...
