Well here is my Lady Bug that I am framing up...so far it only weighs 2oz....I am still trying to decide whether to make it electric or glow, I scanned in the parts and then traced them into delta cad and had them laser cut, framed up very fast. These planes are kind of ugly but at the same time seem like a blast to fly. Rog, when I get moved back there I will have a ton planes to maiden!!

Oh and that little test airplane I was working on with the swept back wing.....I decided to do some glider tests(as my front yard slopes down to the road pretty good)....yeah well it would make a good lawn dart to say the least....it is still sticking out of the front yard but the birds to love it to perch on.

That would be the Lady Bug Rev.B. 21 1/2" span. Rev.E has the 2 wing options. Rev.E has 22 1/2 and 18 1/2" span options. Just measured my plans. Difference otherwise includes the tail surface shape. And lastly Rev.E has a plywood mount to rubber band on for use with electric motors.

The one I had at the swap meet (not for sale just to get people talking to me) was a Micro with 13-inch span. Cute but my Baby Bee ARF (of all things) is more fun to fly. Its about the same size as the Lady Bug - a little more stretched out. Electric power, maybe 70-80 watts (I'm guessing, if I ever measured it I forgot exactly).

I just received the Stevens Aero version of the Lazy Bee. Haven't started building yet. Interesting construction of the single surface wings. Looks warpy to me but its too early to judge. Bees just seem to keep going on forever. Have fun with yours Bill.

WOW! I am building a lady bug too! I start covering tomorrow! I had to hand cut all my parts so its not as perfect and clean as yours. The plans are good though it was a fun fast build. I opted for the longer wing version because it is suppose to fly slower. I picked up a brushless motor and speed controller for 20.00 from graysonhobby.com I am planning on using my two cell 860mah lipos from my cx2 heli to power the plane.

I am also building a speedy bee from scratch and just got in the servos to mount in the wings. So after I do that I have to put in the motor (os .15) and then finish my covering. I have a 40 size lazy bee arf that I really enjoy flying to I can't wait to get these other two buzzing. I do love my bees!!!

Hey, Bug mania! I'm finishing one also. This is my third. I built the first two in '99. The first one flew away when the battery died while flying. I lost a perfect running PAW .033. I built the replacement and killed it losing the wing doing some wicked outside snaps in a dive. So, 10 years later I'm doing another, also with the PAW .033. This is the 18" version and weighs 1.85 oz. at this point.

Mud Bug. (If anyone is interested, the Speedy Bee with a .15 FP is still my alltime favorite of the series.)

Has anyone flowns theirs yet? I am waiting on grayson hobbies to send my motor. I am not happy with them right now! Curious to see how they handle being so small. The throws on the elevator and rudder are so tiny!

All right, now I'm ticked. GraysonHobby.com SUCKS! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I bought my first brushless motor with included esc and mount from them and had to return it because the motor didn't fit in the included mount. I made sure that they were aware as to why I was returning this item. Then they send me back, in replacement, another unit that doesn't fit in the mount either! When I email them to let them know of the problem they pretend I'm the stupid one and tell me to 'press harder.' I couldn't tap this thing in with a hammer if I tried, not alone on a small balsa framed plane like the lady bug. Moral of the story: GRAYSONHOBBY.COM sucks balls! Go to another vender!

My Ladybug has been my go-to plane for several years now - it's the one I always pull out when I just want some goofy flying fun. The outside snap rolls and nearly flat spins are amazing with this plane, about the only things it doesn't like to to are inverted flight and flying in straight, boring lines. This thing was built to maneuver.

Ok so here it is covered and ready for its first maiden flight. Weighting in at a womping 8.4oz it is powered by a 300 brushless motor, 18a esc, and a 800mah 7.4 lipo battery. I can tell already that the plane is way over powered but it shouldn't take much to keep it up in the air. Just waiting on a nice calm day to take it up for the first flight. The suggested control throws seem very small for the plane and after reading a few posts that seems to be accurate. So I will plan to add more throw in the feathers. Can't wait to fly it!

I used a photocopy machine to scale down the plans to 75%
I`m terrible at scratch building , so I just totally modified the plane and didn`t follow the design at all. I havenever built amodel that was built like the ladybug plans suggest. I`m used to sheet fuse sides , solike a dummy I looked at the plans and cut out 2 fuse sides, tail pieces and wing ribs , etc. then I got really confused on the formers on the plans. Hmmmm I wonder what isthe deal here , this is making no sense to me how this goes togetherlol then I decided to make sheet wingtips instead of folowing the plans there as well.

I finally figured it out as I was working on the triangle piece for the vertical fin to mount into.
Needless to say , mine has no windows lol
.Mine has to be way overweight , I topped this all off with transparent monokote.
It measures at a 14" span , and I`m going to start out with a peewee 020 and see how it goes.
On top of all this , my son used my camera last and I can`t find the cord to plug it into my pc so all I have is cell phone pics.
