Default Comet 'Pacemaker' - 1/2A FF kit

Do any of you guys know about this Comet 'Pacemaker' 1/2A Free Flight model, probably from the early fifties I am guessing? If so I would appreciate you all to please post your ramblings. Here is link to a kit just closing out today on the $Bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=009 ..... i've also seen this model advertised quite a bit in the fifties vintage model Magazines thru the old Comet ads.

Thanks all, Donald Garry

I have the plans for the Irwin Ohlsson Pacemaker and Orr's rubber powered Pacemaker, but I had never heard of Comet's. I looked at the AMA (John Pond) plans service and they date it to 1952. Sounds like a good candidate for a WenMac being so early.

Hi There,

It looks to be one of the old Power Duration mono-wheel, twin fin jobs. Dont forget to fit a dethermaliser and engine cut out.

Also if you make it or use the wood to make a new version of it remember that many of these old 1/2A designs were geared towards the power that a good Spitzy, OK Cub, O&R or similar low powered early small glow was able to put out. A modern power equivalent to those is like a PeeWee .020.
