Default Found me some treasures guys!

Hey y'all I have been doing a little traveling, and I came across an old hobby store in a small town in texas. The store is basically closed down, but the owner will let you in to go through the stuff if you call him. He had lots of old kits. I bought a bunch today, and paided what the price tags were on the kits (the prices were put on in the 70's) I have never built or flown any of these, but they all looked pretty good. tell me if you have built any of these, and what you think.

2- ace pacer (1/2a)
1- ace super pacer
2- airtronics warlock 05 (cool looking little pattern ship for 1/2a)
1- Bridi quickest 200
1- Top flight Schoolboy
1- midwest Lil Tri Squire
1- Midwest 48" C/L P-40

I dont know about you guys, but I just love OLD kits

Have you read my story about my rudder only model in the Mission Small Flyin?

If you're MAN enough you can try that with the Tri-Squire kit. If you can handle a fast aileron elevator model like the Pacer and Warlock you can think ahead far enough for rudder only. It's a blast and the looks on the faces of all the "full house flyers" after a good RO stunt show will be priceless.

The Schoolboy is a real cutey too. The ACE Pacers are groovin' pattern type models but leave me a little cold thanks to their precision. I guess I like a little personality in my models these days. Please don't take this a a putdown on the Pacer line. They are very good at what they were designed for. But that mission profile just doesn't intrest me just now.

The pacer is sweet with a hot 25 engine. I would put a nice 32 into it today.

Thats MY kind of plane

Default Digger hit PayDirt

Those are a nice group of kits that you picked up, congratulations on a fun find of some old kits. I love old kits too. I think my favorite of that group is the Schoolboy. Have a pulse rudder outfit for it??

The 1/2A Pacers should fly just like the Mach None which was another Ace 1/2A pattern ship. I built a couple for TD's and 2-ch and they fly like a champ. Glide forever on approach.

The rest are all nice quality kits. Enjoy!

Hey Digger, I think the co-winner of the design/scratch build contest has no business building old has-been kits. Show us your character and moral fortitude by shipping us one of those kits for proper disposal. My address is......
