Default APC Props and Cox shafts

Does anybody know where I can finf an insert for an APC prop to fit the Cox engine shaft? I can't find my caliper but I seam to remember that the Cox shaft is 1/8th" (3.2mm) but I'm not sure how much larger the APC hole is.

Thanks for the help,
Entzel

Generally, what many of us do is slip a piece of fuel tubing over the prop screw or press it into the APC prop hole. The tubing will hold the prop centered on the shaft until it is tightened down.

I have a stash of used-up / broken plastic ballpoint inkpen parts, some of which need no extra sizing to fit the hole and the 5-40 screw. I prefer the hard plastic for the confidence it lends that it will not worsen any out of balance condition. APCs are great. Their efficiency seems to allow over-propping (to clear large cowls) and seems to milk all the power out of our small engines.

You can actually slice off a strip of masking tape and wind it around a prop bolt if that is your only option.

I second the K&S, I usually use the copper versions. I have played with the fuel tubing option but found it was not as positive in locking the prop in place and more subject to vibration.

Thanks for thereplies, guys. I tried two different sizes of fuel tubing to no avail (one too big, one too small) but finally happened upon the correct two sizes of aluminum tubing to make a bushing. Tried the bushing on an APC 6X2 tonight with my Dumas 'Lil Swamp Buggy airboat and it works well. If I ever find my caliper I'll post the tubing sizes I used.

It is ghetto, but I love it when something that is rinky-dink and Mickey Mouse actually works.
Most recently while playing with a 8x3 prop on a .074, I just eyeballed the hub of the prop against the thrust washer for what looked concentric, tightened the screw and flew it...no reducer bushing....worked just fine.
