Ok, I'm posting a picture of the mystery part. This part came with my engine (parts in a plastic bag)
This is not a Saito part
It looks to me like a part of the air pump assembly for one of the Saito twins.
The Saito 1.50 will handle that much weight easily. I agree with others in that you should try to properly fit a larger fuel tank in the model than the 12 ounce tank you mentioned. Although, the 12 ounce tank properly installed (held in place by loose foam - no wood contact with the model) is better than a larger tank that has been improperly installed (tank touch solid parts of the fuselage).
