If one wants a consistent, reliable high torque power plant then yes electrics are boring. Yes, 14watts is different from 3KW. Much like a 1/2A is different from a 5 cylinder radial engine. But as the thread is about the electrification of the Baby Bee I kept my example under 100 watts. Now it takes all kinds.
And yes the glow engine is rapidly falling to the electric motor. So, it might soon be time to learn about Kv Kt, flux saturation etc. The piston is so James Watt
