Flight training set-ups?
OK guys, This one goes out to all those tech-ie types!
This is focused on the high-end JR radio systems, ie 8103, 9303, 9503, and the newer 11x, and 12x systems.
We have tried and failed to set up for using as a true full authority buddy-system to train complex, flap gear equiped aircraft.
So far the user manuals will guide you into a master/slave set-up, however you only end up with the four, (Thrust, Pitch, Roll, Yaw) controls, and no trim on any of these four.
What are we doing wrong guys? I want to work with some fella's and can't seem to make it happen.
What we need is the full authority transfer on a duplicate radio to allow for flap, gear, and full trimming capability.
We checked with Horizon tech departments, and told by two different guys that with the above mentioned radios, we could only get the four mentioned controls with no trimming.
To disapoint me further, one guy said that anyone owning a radio such as the 9303, or an 11x would be able to figure things out on his own. In my opinion, this is a pissy answer, and furthermore does nothing to address the needs of someone seeking quality buddy-box training for his turbine waiver, or perhaps get some time on a new jet with someone flying guard for him.
I know some of you guys out there have overcome the shortcomming on these sets, please share the knowledge with me as I can not make further progress with the user manuals on these radios.
Respectfully,
Frank Alvarez.
P.S. Lets dispose of the JR vs Futaba for this one guys! Just looking for some guidance from guys that have faced the same situation.
