A mixed result, no high speed porpoising, but at 11.5 pounds the old 61 FSR just could not get it to lift off.
An interesting result was when I aborted the take off run (250 yards at full throtle, only 50 yards of water left), i cut the throtle and it porpoised.
Looks like it will be another Hangar Queen at the moment, that weight yields a wing loading of 44 oz per sq ft, I had to put in about 27 ounces of lead to balance it at 40 mm.
I am considering chopping the fin assembly of and mounting the engine in front of the wing, like a seamaster, move the fin back to the end of the fuse, or maybe even a V tail, a bit like Laddies Sheerwater, and go with a 50 or 55 two stroke.
