Mark, do not chop anything. I agree with Bob. Install the AXI 4120/18 or AXI 4130/16 with 6S Lipos. I think, your flying weight will drop to 9Lbs.
My scratch built 70" electric Seawind at 7Lbs, just jumps into the air.
