RE: Great Planes Seawind
Hi Bob
As this is the Nitro version, and I still have my GP fuse which was much stronger, the chop was done tonite, the dry fuse weighed in at 4.5 lbs, the chopped off fin weighed in at 2.2 lbs, I think I can rebuild the fin and mount in epoxy/foam at a third of the weight with more strength, the one bout of porpoising broke all the fin supports and fractured the glass at the base of the fin as well. I work for Devcon here in OZ so epoxy and tech support is not a problem.
All up weight with radio gear but without motor or ballast was 8 lbs, I know what you mean about Hobbycity, I am a regular with them, eflite US 25e on floats powered by hobbycity, thinking of converting my H9 Toledo Special to Electric, looking at the 42-60 on 4s, its on floats too.
Regards
Mark
