Default mounting an engine

No, I loctite the entire threaded area of the bolt. Never thought about the chemical interaction. That could have caused some real problems. I can speak from my own experience. The Piper Cub in my avatar was built in 1998 with the loctited bolts in a glass filled nylon engine mount (OS .70 four stroke). I had the engine out two weeks ago to fit a new cowl and there seems to be no deterioration of the material, thank goodness. From now on when I use loctite, I'll think a little more about what might react with it.
