Go back to allowing Masters to design their own schedule, give them a K factor total and let them have at it.
I know I know there's a million reasons it won't work.
The sequence committees work really hard and actually have come up with some good sequences. Every year people complain, but thats true in everything. Some will always think things are too hard, or too easy depending on the person, but overall I think the sequences work pretty well. The process certainly isn't easy, but it does work. Many people have questions about the process behind it, but the people who are doing the work do put in a LOT of effort.
