Default FMS pic cable does not work.
Scimitar, there are two types of serial interfaces available. One is a PIC interface , and uses a PIC microcontroller (chip), the other one, Serial PPM Interface , with only a few transistors and resistors.

The PIC interface should work on all operating systems, where the PPM interface is only compatable with Win95/98.
