With a module system you should have the option to transmit in PPM and PCM a 2.4Ghz module will not transmit if the Tx is selected to PCM, I don't know if the JR's select automatically or not, certainly on the Futaba sets you have to change between the Frequencies you wish to transmit on in the settings menu.
