Yes, unless one can reduce drag a lot, the Demon and Dust designs are probably limited to 140-160 on electric power unless one can shoe-horn in a lot of batteries and a big motor and esc.

Regarding full power for the entire flight (electric powered that is) at speeds of say 150+ (mph) it is just hard for elec to compete with gas/glow. With the gas/glow, larger tank = longer flight. With elec if you are running at 20C (20 x capacity discharge rate) 3 minutes (approx) and your done. At 30C expect a 2 minute flight (or slightly less). Fly at 40C and your done in about 1.5 minutes. So.....the lower your discharge rate the longer you can fly at a SLOWER speed......urghhhh!!!!! All this being said, electric has improved a lot in the last 5 years! Looking forward to the next five!
