For an after run oil, I've used Air tool oil for quite awhile and had good results. I think all of them contain rust preventer. Some prefer Marvel Air Tool Oil but I use Campbell Hausfeld.

For long term storage, Rislone works well.

I have not yet tried Xena's potion, but as you said, might be worth a try.
