Sig recommends plastic covering on the wings for the four star, either monocoat or ultracote. Fabric is not recommended.

The wing is an open structure with no sheeting on the leading edge, the plastic covering is integral to its strength. Don't worry, it's plenty strong enough once covered and shrunk and very light to boot.
