Problem with the button valve is that it relies on the nose gear leg fully compressing the button valve.
If it doesn't and the button valve is half depressed, air will leak, then you cant get your gear down!
A lot of people use the servo slow feature and let the servo press the button rather than any of the gear legs. I cut a cam on the servo arm and let that push the button, that way once the button is pushed the servo does not have to expend any power to hold it down. I have used this setup for close to 20 years and have never had a problem with it.
