Yep, a rudder would be for looks only

We will see how good looking the trainer is after we teach 24 bear scouts how to fly CL....that is why it has wing skids and no paint. I can easily patch the holes and re-fiberglass.

I have another model without a rudder (80" span, OS-91FX for power) and it carries a camera and it flies great....the line guide keeps the line tension correct.
